The results of the 2024 Indian Forest Service Examination have been released by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC). Kanika Anabh was the test taker this year. Between November 24 and December 1, the examination was conducted, and between April 21 and May 2, personality tests were administered. In all, 143 applicants have been suggested for appointment in various categories.
The outcome can be found on the Commission’s website, upsc.gov.in. However, within 15 days of the result announcement date, the Commission’s website will host the candidates’ marks.
40 general candidates, 19 students from economically disadvantaged sections, 50 candidates from other backward classes, 23 candidates from Scheduled Castes, and 11 students from Scheduled Tribes make up this year’s shortlist. Due to the lack of applications, the announcement also stated that two open positions for PwBD-1 have been carried over to the following recruitment year.
Seven contestants’ results have not been made public. Additionally, the Commission has made the candidacies of the 51 suggested candidates provisional. These applicants are able to download and review the notification.
The government would appoint the candidates based on the number of openings and provided that they meet all the requirements for eligibility listed in the Rules for the Examination and Verifications, the statement said.
On its premises, UPSC maintains a facilitation desk close to the Examination Hall building. On working days between 10 am and 5 pm, candidates can get any information or clarification they need about their exam or recruitment by calling 011-23385271 or 23381125.
