The Uttar Pradesh Education Service Selection Commission (UPESSC), located in Prayagraj, is set to conduct the Uttar Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test (UP TET) 2026 on July 2, 3, and 4. This examination is intended for candidates aspiring to obtain eligibility for teaching at both the primary and upper primary levels in government schools throughout the state.
According to reports, the last occurrence of UPTET was on January 23, 2022.
Additionally, the commission has published the examination schedule for other assessments. The recruitment examination for Assistant Professors is scheduled for April 18 and 19, 2026. This exam was originally planned for April 16 and 17, 2025, then postponed to September 4, 2025, before being cancelled entirely. The UP Post Graduate Teacher (PGT) examination is planned for May 9 and 10, 2026, while the Trained Graduate Teacher (TGT) examination is set to take place on June 3 and 4, 2026.
