The West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board (WBJEEB) has released the dates of its registration process. Registration for the engineering exam will start on January 22 and conclude on February 23. Students who wish to participate in the WBJEE can register on the official website at wbjeeb.nic.in.
The WBJEE is conducted for students who want admission to engineering, technology, pharmacy, and architecture courses at different universities and colleges in West Bengal. The basic eligibility to apply for the exam is that the candidate must have passed Class 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as mandatory subjects for Engineering.
The correction facility for the WBJEE application will start between February 25 and 27. Candidates can download the admit cards between April 17 and April 27. The date to announce the results will be released later by the Board.
Candidates appearing in both paper 1 and paper 2 are eligible for the general merit rank (GMR) and pharmacy merit rank (PMR). Such candidates will be considered for admission in all courses of engineering and pharmacy. Candidates appearing only in paper 2 are eligible for PMR only. Such candidates will be considered for admission into pharmacy courses only (except at Jadavpur University). Candidates appearing only in paper one are not eligible for any rank.
The exam will be conducted on April 27 with paper one (mathematics) will be conducted at 11 am and concluding at 1 pm while paper two (physics and chemistry) will be conducted from 2 pm till 4 pm. In 2024, Kingshuk Patra from Bankura Zilla School topped the examination.
