Anna University has officially announced the results for the Tamil Nadu Common Entrance Test (TANCET) 2026. Candidates who sat for the entrance examinations can now view their qualifying status, actual marks, and percentile scores online through the official destination portal at tancet.annauniv.edu.
The results, which were originally scheduled for release on May 23, were made available on the portal a day ahead of schedule.
Examination Statistics and Participation
According to official data released by the university, a total of 30,912 candidates appeared for the postgraduate entrance tests this year. The distribution of test-takers across the specialized examinations is as follows:
- TANCET MBA: 15,050 candidates
- TANCET MCA: 7,281 candidates
- CEETA PG (for ME/MTech/MArch/MPlan): 5,137 candidates
The TANCET MBA and MCA exams were administered in two separate shifts on May 9, while the Common Engineering Entrance Test and Admissions (CEETA PG) was conducted during a single forenoon session on May 10.
Steps to Access the TANCET 2026 Result
Aspirants can retrieve their examination outcomes by following these steps on the official portal:
- Navigate to the official website: tancet.annauniv.edu.
- Click on the active link designated for “TANCET Result 2026” on the main dashboard.
- Provide your secure login credentials, including your registered Email ID and Password.
- Click “Submit” to view your section-wise score and percentile evaluation.
- Download and print a digital copy for your records.
Critical Window for Profile Modifications
University authorities have issued an important advisory regarding candidate profile details. Students have been granted a final window to review and modify potential errors in their personal metrics, including:
- Initials or spelling variations in names
- Date of Birth (DOB) and Gender
- Community classification and Nativity status
To request corrections, candidates must submit a formal email accompanied by valid evidentiary documents to tanceeta@gmail.com. All corrections must be completed before downloading the final scorecard. The university has clarified that absolutely no modification requests will be entertained once a scorecard has been generated.
Subsequent Timelines: Scorecards and Counselling
The official TANCET 2026 scorecards will be systematically open for download from May 27 through June 26, 2026. This physical scorecard serves as a mandatory document during the state-wide institutional counselling processes for MBA and MCA program allocations scheduled to begin in June.
The scores remain strictly valid for the single upcoming academic admission cycle of 2026–2027 and cannot be carried over to subsequent years.
