The University Grants Commission (UGC) has extended last date for submission of application form for online courses till April 30 2021 for February-March session. Online courses will be delivered through open and distance learning mode. The Universities and Institutes of Higher Education (HEIs) can continue accepting applications for online open and distance learning pogrammes.
This extension is announced by UGC as some students may be facing difficulties due to Covid-19 pandemic. The UGC is offering Massive Open Online Courses (MOOCs) via SWAYAM portal. Also the organization has invited academics and institutions to prepare online courses for the portal.
All the affiliated universities and higher education institutions offering these courses have to publish notification on their websites according to revised UGC guidelines. The admissions will be accepted on the UGC DEB web portal. Once the last date for application submission is over all the participating universities and institutes will have to upload their admission details on the portal by May 15, 2021.
