The Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) has announced the results of the DElEd Joint Entrance Examination 2025. The results are now available on the official website — bsebdeled.com — and candidates can check their scorecards shortly using their Application ID and date of birth.
As per the board’s announcement, a total of 3,23,313 candidates participated in the examination, with 2,55,468 candidates successfully qualifying. The overall pass percentage is recorded at 79.01%.
The examination was conducted in a computer-based format across 19 centers in nine districts. Candidates were required to answer 120 objective-type questions, each worth one mark, within a total time limit of 150 minutes. There was no provision for negative marking. The minimum qualifying marks were set at 35% for candidates from the unreserved category and 30% for those from reserved categories.
Among the qualified candidates, 2,54,443 hail from Bihar, while 1,025 candidates are from other states. Officials have stated that admissions will be conducted strictly in accordance with reservation policies and merit. Private teacher education institutions will also adhere to government regulations during the admission process.
A merit list has been compiled based on the examination scores, and admissions to all government and recognized private DElEd colleges in Bihar will be facilitated through online counseling. Candidates will be assigned institutions based on their scores, reservation category, and the preferences they indicate.
The online application procedure for admission to DElEd institutions for those who have qualified will take place from November 29 to December 5 on the official website. A separate detailed notification regarding the counseling schedule will be released on November 28.
Currently, Bihar has 306 DElEd training institutes, comprising 60 government and 246 private institutions. Collectively, they provide approximately 30,800 seats — 9,100 in government colleges and around 21,700 in private colleges.
The committee has released the outcome in accordance with the stipulations of the State Teacher Education Regulations and the instructions provided by the Director of SCERT Bihar.
