Delhi University inaugurated its Common Seat Allocation System (CSAS) portal for undergraduate admissions for the academic year 2025-26. During a press conference, Haneet Gandhi, the Dean of Academics at DU, declared that the CSAS portal is now accessible for registration.
“The university is providing 79 courses across its 69 colleges, with a total of 71,624 seats available for the forthcoming academic session,” she stated. In an effort to enhance career-oriented education, the university has also initiated admissions for various skill-based courses through its Centre for Innovative Skill-based Courses (CISBC), Gandhi mentioned.
Some of the programs offered include AC-refrigerator repair, animation and motion graphics, as well as bakery and confectionery, she added. All undergraduate admissions will be conducted based on the scores from the CUET (Common University Entrance Test).
DU Vice-Chancellor Yogesh Singh announced that the university has introduced two new postgraduate programs this year: an MA in Tourism Management (50 seats) and an MA in Hindi Journalism.
The undergraduate admission process will occur in two phases. The first phase, which commenced on Tuesday, requires applicants to input their personal details, Class 12 marks, and CUET application number on the CSAS portal.
The second phase will start after the CUET results are announced, during which students can indicate their program and college preferences. Subsequently, the university will provide simulated ranks to assist candidates in understanding their potential placement. The final allocation of seats will be determined based on program-specific merit and availability.
