The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has initiated the registration process for the CTET scheduled for February 2026. Candidates interested in applying for the Central Teacher Eligibility Test can access the direct link via the official CBSE CTET website at ctet.nic.in.
The deadline for submitting applications for the CBSE CTET is December 18, 2025. To apply for the examination, candidates may follow the steps outlined below.
CTET February 2026: Instructions for Online Registration
- Navigate to the official CTET website at ctet.nic.in.
- Click on the registration link for CTET February 2026 available on the homepage.
- A new page will appear where candidates must input their registration details.
- After completing the registration, log in to your account.
- Complete the application form and pay the application fee.
- Click on submit and download the page.
- Retain a hard copy of the document for future reference.
The examination is scheduled to take place on February 8, 2026. It will be conducted in two shifts: Paper I from 9:30 AM to 12:00 PM and Paper II from 2:30 PM to 5:00 PM. All questions in the CTET will be Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs), with four options provided, of which one answer will be the most suitable. Each question carries one mark, and there will be no negative marking.
The examination fee for candidates in the General/OBC category is ₹1000/- for either Paper I or II, and ₹1200/- for both papers. Candidates from the SC/ST/Differently Abled Persons category will need to pay ₹500/- for one paper and ₹600/- for both Paper I and II. Payments can be made using Debit Card, Credit Card, or Net Banking.
