The Delhi government formalized a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with BIG Institute and Physics Wallah Limited to provide complimentary crash courses for students preparing for the CUET and NEET examinations following their Class 12 education.
This collaboration, established between the Delhi Directorate of Education, BIG Institute, and Physics Wallah Limited, is part of a broader initiative by NSDC International under the Ministry of Skills, Government of India, aimed at offering free online coaching for NEET and CUET to 163,000 students from government schools.
The MoU was signed in the presence of Chief Minister Rekha Gupta and Education Minister Ashish Sood.
Minister Sood announced that the program is set to commence on April 1, featuring 180 hours of instruction over a span of 30 days, with students attending six hours of classes each day.
“This pro bono initiative will provide our students with essential guidance to excel in these pivotal exams, significantly improving their prospects of gaining admission to prestigious medical colleges and central universities,” he remarked.
Chief Minister Gupta emphasized that the initiative is designed to assist government school students in securing placements in medical and engineering institutions.
“This will enable an increasing number of students from Delhi government schools to access quality colleges and successfully navigate entrance examinations for medical and engineering courses,” she stated.
As part of this initiative, students will receive six hours of online coaching daily from April 2 to May 2, 2025, covering subjects including Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Mathematics, General Aptitude, and English, as outlined in a statement.
The program will also provide PDF notes for organized revision, regularly scheduled assessments to monitor progress, and a dedicated mechanism for resolving doubts to ensure ongoing support, according to the announcement.
The statement described the initiative as a potential ‘game-changer’ for students from underprivileged backgrounds, ensuring that financial limitations do not obstruct their educational goals.
