The University of Delhi today launched the Common Seat Allocation System (CSAS) portal for undergraduate (UG) and postgraduate (PG) admissions. DU vice-chancellor Yogesh Singh said that the university is offering 71,000 seats for 78 UG programs. Besides, there are 198 BA program combinations. Students who are eligible for DU admission 2023 will have to register at the DU CSAS official website, ugadmission.uod.ac.in.
During CSAS admission portal launch, the DU VC Yogesh Singh said that it offered 1,553 subject combinations for UG admission and that this year the College of Arts will also be included in CSAS seat allocation. He also noted that 1.38 lakh students showed interest in the university’s flagship program BCom (Hons) this year.
DU CSAS registration has begun and the first seat allocation result will be declared in the second week of July. The academic session is slated to begin on August 16, the DU VC said. In the first round, 20% extra seats will be given to UR, and OBC categories and 30% for SC, and ST in all programs. But for colleges like SRCC with less than a 5% withdrawal rate, only 10% additional seats will be allocated for UR, OBC, and 15% seats for SC, and ST.
Students were advised to enter the Class 12 marks carefully, as it is used in tie-breaking criteria. Students can now start DU admission registration by paying an application fee of Rs 250 if belonging to the general category and Rs 100 for SC, and ST categories.
As per the DU PG admission 2023, Delhi University will be offering 13,500 seats for 77 PG programs. MA Political Science is the most preferred course, he said. An additional Rs 100 should be paid for supernumerary seats.
DU Ph.D. Admission 2023
Delhi University Ph.D. admission for 51 programs for the current academic year 2023 will also be done through the Common University Entrance Test (CUET). Ph.D. registration will be opened more than one time in an academic year. The registration fee for the unreserved category is Rs 700.
Students who wish to pursue Ph.D. at DU must note that the admission will be done through both CUET and UGC NET, held for eligibility for Junior Research Fellowship (JRF), followed by a personal interview round. The admission process for Ph.D. courses will begin in July.
Delhi University: BTech admission 2023
Earlier this month, the university’s executive council approved the launch of BTech programs after the Ministry of education gave a nod to create 72 teaching and 48 non-teaching posts for its Faculty of Technology. Admission to the three BTech courses offered by the university will be done through the Joint Entrance Examination-Main (JEE Main 2023) score. The DU BTech admission will commence in the last week of June.
