Lee Maan Ki, a student of Hong Kong’s International Culinary Institute (ICI) bagged the gold medal at the Young Chef Olympiad 2021. Srijaenthi Natraj of UAE and Jessica Louise Hoskins of New Zealand received silver and bronze medals respectively. India was represented by Swetang Ranjan, a student of IIHM Kolkata.
The 7th edition of the International IIHM Young Chef Olympiad was organised at IIHM Kolkata’s Global Campus and drew participants from around 50 countries who participated virtually due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The winners were announced by Prof David Foskett, the Chairman of the Jury, YCO and Padma Shri Chef Sanjeev Kapoor, the Principal Judge of YCO.
