The State Common Entrance Test Cell has announced the timetable for admissions to first-year undergraduate technical programs in engineering and technology, as well as for the integrated five-year Master of Engineering and Technology courses for the academic year 2025-26. According to the timetable, the registration process for MHT CET counselling is currently in progress and will end on July 8. Applications submitted after July 8 will be considered for non-CAP seats.
Students from Maharashtra, as well as those from the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh, who possess a valid migrant certificate, along with students from across India, are eligible to engage in the counselling process by completing the online form. Students must fill out the form on the official website — mahacet.org — and upload all necessary original documents. The documents will subsequently be forwarded to the Cell for verification.
Eligibility criteria
– Candidates must be Indian citizens who have successfully completed Class 10th and 12th, with Physics and Mathematics as mandatory subjects, in addition to either Chemistry, Biotechnology, Biology, a Technical Vocational subject, Computer Science, Information Technology, Informatics Practices, Agriculture, Engineering Graphics, Business Studies, Electronics, or Entrepreneurship.
– The candidate must have taken all subjects in the PCM MHT-CET 2025 and achieved a non-zero score in the same examination.
Application fees
The application fee for general category candidates from Maharashtra, Outside Maharashtra State (OMS), and the Union Territories of Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh for migrant candidates is Rs 1000.
For reserved category candidates [SC, ST, VJ/DTNT(A), NT(B), NT(C), NT(D), OBC, SBC, EWS, SEBC*] and PWD candidates from Maharashtra, as well as orphan and transgender (Other) candidates, the application fee is Rs 800.
How to Apply?
Candidates must submit their applications online at mahacet.org according to the specified schedule. Those who have already registered for MHT-CET 2025 are exempt from paying any registration fee for admission; however, other candidates who possess a valid score for admission in the academic year 2025-26 in JEE (Main) or NEET (UG) and have not registered for MHT-CET 2025 are required to pay the fee using credit card, debit card, net banking, UPI, among other online methods. Please note that the fees paid are non-refundable.
Candidates should be aware that in the MHT CET counselling application form, if no errors are detected, the verification and confirmation status of the application will be accessible to the student in their login, along with a receipt cum acknowledgement. Conversely, if any errors are identified, candidates will be notified of the errors by having their application returned for rectification through their login.
Students wishing to proceed with the application and admission process must edit the returned application form and re-submit it for e-scrutiny via their login. The Cell will publish the provisional merit list for Maharashtra state and All India candidates on the website on July 12.
MHT CET 2025 Counselling: How to raise grievances?
Candidates must submit any grievances regarding corrections needed in the provisional merit list through their login. The applications of such candidates will be returned to them in their login for necessary rectification. They will be required to upload the necessary documents to support their request for any corrections or concessions, as outlined on the website.
The status of the acceptance or rejection of grievances raised by candidates will be available in their login, along with the most recent receipt cum acknowledgement. Candidates who opted for the physical scrutiny mode must visit their designated facilitation centre to address their grievances.
Students will have the opportunity to file grievances from July 13 to July 15 until 5 PM. Following the review of these issues, the final merit list will be published on July 17. Should there be any unavoidable circumstances that necessitate a revision of the schedule, the updated timeline will be available at fe2025.mahacet.org.
