The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) announced the results for NEET PG 2025 on its official website. Candidates who took the exam can view their results on the official NBEMS websites at natboard.edu.in or nbe.edu.in.
Marks & cutoff:
- The open cutoff is 276.
- The cutoff for persons with disabilities (pwd) in the open category is 255.
- The cutoff for SC/ST/OBC, including pwd of SC/ST/OBC, is 235.
The NEET-PG 2025 examination took place on August 3 in a single shift across 301 cities and 1,052 test centres, with over 2.42 lakh candidates participating in a computer-based format. To ensure the smooth and secure conduct of the exam, NBEMS implemented extensive arrangements and assigned more than 2,200 faculty members from various medical colleges and hospitals to enforce strict measures against malpractice.

NEET-PG 2025 serves as the eligibility and ranking examination for admission to MD, MS, and PG Diploma courses for the academic session 2025-26. It also facilitates admissions to Post-MBBS DNB courses, Post-MBBS Direct 6-year DrNB programmes, and NBEMS diploma courses.
Exam Scheme
The test comprises 200 multiple-choice questions in English, administered in a computer-based format. Each question offers four answer options, and candidates are required to select the most suitable one. The duration of the exam is 3 hours and 30 minutes. There is a 25% penalty for incorrect answers, while unattempted questions do not incur any penalty.
NBEMS’ Role
NBEMS is solely tasked with administering the examination, announcing the results, and delivering them to the appointed counselling authority. It does not engage in the counselling process or the allocation of seats. The verification of documents and the eligibility of candidates will be conducted during the counselling/admission phase by the relevant authorities.
NEET-PG 2025 Result: Key Highlights
Result Declared: Candidates are able to view their scores and ranks on the NBEMS website natboard.edu.in
Normalization Not Applied: In accordance with the Supreme Court ruling (30 May 2025), the examination was conducted in a single session, thus normalization of scores was not implemented.
Cut-off Scores: The minimum qualifying criteria based on categories are detailed in the information bulletin.
Question Paper Review: All questions have been evaluated by experts, and none were found to be technically incorrect.
Merit Lists:
- All India 50% Quota: The merit position will be announced separately.
- State Quota: Merit lists will be compiled by the respective States/UTs in accordance with established rules.
- Scorecards: Individual scorecards will be available for download starting August 29, 2025, and will remain accessible for a duration of 6 months only.
- Candidature: It is purely provisional and contingent upon eligibility verification during the counselling/admission process.
- Tie-breaking Rule: The aggregate marks from MBBS/FMGE (as stated in the application) will be verified at the time of admission. Providing incorrect information may result in the cancellation of candidature.
- Unfair Means: Any form of malpractice will lead to the cancellation of results/candidature and may incur further penal consequences.
