The Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) has released a notification stating that the preliminary competitive examination for the position of Assistant Branch Officer (Advt. No. 37/2025) is scheduled to take place on September 10, 2025.
The examination will occur at specified centres throughout 11 districts within the state. According to the timetable, candidates will take the General Knowledge (Objective) paper on September 10 from 12 noon to 2:15 pm.
A total of 41 positions will be filled through this recruitment initiative. The roles are categorized under Pay Level 7, with a salary range of ₹44,900 to ₹1,42,400.
Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification: Applicants must possess a bachelor’s degree from a recognized university by the deadline for application submission.
Age Limit (as of August 1, 2025):
Minimum: 21 years
Maximum: 37 years for unreserved male candidates
40 years for backward class and extremely backward class (both male and female) as well as unreserved female candidates
42 years for Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe candidates (both male and female)
