The Stage I, or preliminary exam, is scheduled for April 12, while Stage II, or the main exam, will take place on May 2, 2025. The preliminary stage serves as a qualifying examination, allowing candidates who pass to proceed to Stage II: the NORCET Main.
The preliminary exam will consist of 100 multiple-choice questions (MCQs) totaling 100 marks, with four options for each question. This includes 20 MCQs on General Knowledge and Aptitude, and 80 MCQs based on the Nursing curriculum at the essential qualification level. Candidates will have 90 minutes to complete the exam, which will include a penalty of 1/3 mark for each incorrect answer.
The main exam will feature 160 MCQs worth 160 marks, also with four options per question, focusing on the complete syllabus of Nursing courses at the essential qualification level, particularly emphasizing case scenario-based questions to assess nursing skills competency. The duration for this exam is 180 minutes, divided into four sections of 45 minutes each, with each section containing 40 questions. Similar to the preliminary exam, there will be a negative marking of 1/3 mark for each wrong answer.
